Images you select are processed inside your own browser. MZScan does not upload, store or view your images or scans.
To prevent abuse, activate Premium and understand how the site is used, MZScan stores a small amount of technical information in Google Firebase (Cloud Firestore): a random Device ID created in your browser, your browser and device type (user-agent), language, time zone, screen size, the pages you open, the site you came from, and the dates of your visits. Firebase anonymous sign-in stores a random identifier in your browser for this purpose. We never upload or store your images, scans or PDFs. If you use the contact form, your name, email and message are stored so we can reply. Premium licence records (Device ID, expiry date and payment note) are stored to keep your Premium active. Google acts as our service provider for this data. To ask for your data to be deleted, email mzscan.com@gmail.com with your Device ID.
You can use every tool without an account. If you create an account to use Premium, we store your email address, name (if you give one), the login method (email or Google), whether your email is verified, and your sign-up and last-login dates. Passwords are handled by Firebase Authentication; we never see or store your password. Google login shares only your name and email with us.
We may collect non-personal information such as browser type, device type, pages visited and approximate location through standard server logs and analytics. If you email us, we receive your email address and message.
MZScan uses Google AdSense to show ads. Google and its partners use cookies, including the DoubleClick cookie, to serve ads based on your visits to this and other websites. You can opt out of personalized advertising at adssettings.google.com or aboutads.info. Learn how Google uses data at policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites.
If you buy Premium, we receive your name, payment details (such as a transaction ID or screenshot) and contact details so we can issue your licence code. Your code is stored only in your own browser.
Our site may link to other websites. We are not responsible for their content or privacy practices.
MZScan is not directed at children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect their personal data.
